Under the World Bank Group’s Environmental and Social Framework, it’s a requirement for Borrowers to commit adherence to Environmental and Social Standards (ESS). The Environmental and Social Directive/ Procedure for Investment Project Financing (IPF) and the Directive on addressing Risks and impacts on Disadvantaged or Vulnerable Individuals or Groups requires Borrowers to disclose their Environmental and Social Risk Management Policies.
According to ESS9 on Financial Intermediaries, all Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) for the Line of Credit under the Zambia Agribusiness and Trade Project II (ZATP II) are required to disclose their Environmental and Social Management Systems/Policies(ESMS) on their websites.
Currently, Zanaco as the Fund Manager for the Line of Credit has signed up with the following PFIs that have disclosed their ESMS on their websites.
