PERSONAL DETAILS 

Mr. John Anthony Mulongoti is the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry in Zambia. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Production Management (B.Sc. Prod. Mgt) from the Copperbelt University in Kitwe, Zambia; a Master’s Degree in Small Business Studies (MSBS) from University of Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany and is a Doctoral Candidate (DBA) at the Binary University of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia/University of Zambia. 

Mr. Mulongoti has previously served in other positions in the civil service including as Director – Domestic Trade and Commerce in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry from 2013 to 2016; Director – Industry in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry from 2016 to 2020 and as Director of Agribusiness and Marketing at the Ministry of Agriculture from November 2020 until his appointment as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry in September, 2022.
