Human Resource and Administration Department

The Department of Human Resource and Administration is responsible for the provision of administrative, and Logistical support services in order to ensure effective operations of the Ministry. The Department is also responsible for managing and developing human resources in order to improve staff welfare and service delivery.

The Department is headed by a Director (M) who shall be assisted by Assistant Director.

The department has the following functions:

Ø  Maintain
Buildings and surroundings in order to promote a conducive working environment

Ø  Provide
Registry Services in order contribute to the efficient operation of the
Ministry.

Ø  Provide
administrative and logistical support service in order to inform decision
making and create awareness;   

Ø  Manage
the Human Resource function in the Ministry in order to enhance staff morale
and optimize utilization of Human Resources;

Ø  Provide
administrative and logistical support services in order to enhance smooth
operations of the Ministry

Ø  Undertake
Training needs assessments in the Ministry in order to facilitate preparation
of Training Programs;

Ø  Formulate
and implement staff wellness Programmes; and

Ø  Manage
the public relations functions in the Ministry

Ø  Interpret
Terms and Conditions of Services, Code of Ethics and Government policy on Training
in order to enhance adherence and enhance National Training Policy.

The Department is headed by a Director, Mrs. Nalituba C. Mwale.
