Zambia has established and maintained good political and economic relations with the European Union since 1975. The EU is a strategic investment and trade partner to Zambia and has significantly contributed to Zambia’s sustainable growth, fostering reforms and investments. The EU and its member states seek to further strengthen their relationships with Zambia through development cooperation, private sector engagement, economic growth and job creation.

The Zambia-European Union (EU) Economic Forum 2022 is one of the proposed efforts aimed at achieving the above objectives. This inaugural event will be hosted under the auspices of H.E. President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema and will take place in Lusaka from 18 – 19 May 2022, with a focus on green investment.

The event will be characterized by high-level presentations, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, Business-to-Government meetings (B2G), exhibitions and workshops.
